A quick update as I sit in the George Bush Intercontinental Airport to fly back to Buffalo: The race went well! It was a tough swim against a current and with all kinds of sighting issues, but I made the cutoff. The bike was flat and fast and my bruised foot held up nicely on the run.
In total, my time was 6:50 — about 40 minutes faster than my first 70.3 in Muskoka this past September.
But time is but one measure of success. And there are more stories, more triumphs, to tell you about later.
