One week from today is the ING Miami Half Marathon and thus came my last long run.
It was short by long run standards — an hour and 15 minutes — without a lot of high tempo intervals. Of course, I was feeling really good and probably went a few clicks faster on the treadmill than I needed to for this workout. The fine line between being ready and pushing too hard too close the race is a fine one. And while there always comes the thought “have I done enough?” I am able to push it aside with the really good feeling I’m having during my runs. The feeling that I’m running well, that I can run even faster, that I’m fit and strong and ready to break my 2:09 time from last year.
