Today I’m off with Mark to San Francisco for vacation and a race (because really, what’s a vacation without a race?) We’ll be running in the famed Bay to Breakers 12K.
But before the official trip could begin, I had to squeeze in a training session this morning. And a brick at that. And without my bike, still. So early morning found me at a fitness club, pounding away on a stationary bike for 14.25 miles (not a great ride, but not bad under the circumstances) then quickly over to the treadmill for a five-mile run. My speed could be as I liked. Generally, I like slow, but bumped up my pace in the middle to speed the workout along.
Time to finish packing.
More to come from the West Coast.
