Women’s Adventure Retreat: Cycle Niagara County

Ready to explore some of Western New York with your own pedal power? Join us for a Women’s Adventure Cycling Retreat on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Our ride will begin and end at Krull Park on the shores of Lake Ontario in Olcott, N.Y. We will visit two local wineries and tour the vineyards on our bicycles. The highlight of our trip will be a stop at Murphy Orchards, one of the stations of the historic Underground Railroad. Will get a tour of the Underground Railroad site and have  an afternoon tea lunch at the Murphy Orchards Tea Room. Our last stop will be Singer Farm Naturals where we will learn about the healing properties of tart cherry juice and get some information on locally grown garlic.

The ride will cover about 20 miles on flat, country roads. (Want more miles? I can direct you to routes before or after our afternoon adventure.)

The day will begin with registration at 9:30 followed by a warm-up yoga sequence. Then we ride, followed by a car SAG to offer help and to carry any purchases you may make along the way. Our tour should finish by 3 p.m.

The cost for the day is $55 and includes wine tastings, tours and lunch.

Take some time to explore the history and beauty of the region and reenergize yourself on the bike.
